Making it my own

January 14, 2009

I have been loving all the cute crayon/pencil/marker rolls I’ve been seeing online lately. However, it seems that most are made w/ fusible interfacing. Let’s just say that interfacing is not my friend. Not sure what my problem is, but it never turns out right. Wrinkles, bubbles, burning, cursing, you name it.

So I came up with a version that I am waaaay more comfortable with… involving batting & quilting, of course. I made two of them, sized for jumbo crayons, for two of my nieces for Christmas. They were so fun that I got a little carried away & proceeded to cut materials to make 14 (!) more. Yeah, Bry thinks I’m nuts.
